Pipette and Quality Management Seminars for Laboratory Professionals

WESTBROOK, ME (September 18, 2018) – Laboratory professionals face unique challenges day in and day out. The pressure to meet strict compliance requirements while managing various internal processes that help ensure a high level of quality and productivity can be intense. Ongoing training and certification is an effective way to stay ahead of the regulatory curve while also honing management and operator skills.

To answer these needs Artel is adding more Pipette and Quality Management Seminars throughout the upcoming fall and spring. Upcoming dates include September 27-28, October 25-26, and May 16-17. The two-day seminars are ideal for lab personnel who manage quality processes and who utilize pipettes – and who are responsible for regulatory compliance, improving workplace efficiency, and the data integrity of the lab’s test results.

“In addition to the expertise that Artel’s instructors bring to the class, peer learning plays a big part in what makes our training unique and impactful,” says George Rodrigues, senior director of scientific affairs. “Attendees from different workplace settings all over the globe with varied compliance requirements and processes learn from one another, bringing these valuable lessons in proficiency back to their respective labs. The wisdom that is shared between attendees never fails to impress.”

Learning objectives of the seminar include laboratory best practices, ergonomics, regulatory compliance, repair and maintenance, equipment failure diagnostics, calibration technologies, and single and multichannel technique certification. Guidance and materials needed to set up a systemized internal quality assurance program are also provided. Pre- and post-training evaluations of attendees’ pipetting skills are conducted that give people immediate feedback on the improvement in their technique. Gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded that denote the level of accuracy and precision achieved.

A quality systems manager from a leading firm who attended a recent seminar commented, “This class was a very worthwhile investment. Training provided enables participants to make immediate impacts on their organization.”
