Optimizing Operation of Liquid Handlers Using Plasmas

WESTBROOK, ME (December 21, 2022) – Plasmas have rheological characteristics that differ significantly from aqueous solutions and this needs to be taken into account to ensure optimal assay results. It is critical that plasma volumes being dispensed into assays be accurate. The default liquid class settings on automated liquid handlers are often inadequate for this purpose and typically require expending an undue amount of time as well as precious sample material to dial in properly.

Artel has introduced QualAssure PlasProxy® for use with the Multichannel Verification System (MVS®) in response to this need. An Application Note documenting the performance of this solution in comparison to various plasmas is now available to assist scientists in maximizing productivity and minimizing waste. Utilizing PlasProxy to optimize liquid class settings helps facilitate superior results from assays.
