WESTBROOK, ME (December 23, 2021) – Founded in 1983 to improve the quality of life for the needful in the state of Maine, the Maine Community Foundation supports a number of laudable initiatives. During these trying times as we all do battle with COVID, the Foundation has created a program that is specifically focused on issues which have grown more critical as a result of the pandemic. It supports several initiatives but has created one that is specifically focused on providing relief for those affected by COVID. The Maine Community Foundation has provided over $4M to various organizations, from food pantries to community action programs, homeless shelters, and other organizations that support Mainers impacted by the pandemic.

Artel decided to support this organization and promote COVID safety by making a donation of $100 for every employee that received a vaccine. Artelians rolled up their sleeves to get protected and fight to end the pandemic, and the company will now be issuing a check for $7500 to the Foundation.

Marketing & Sales Director Bernadette Danis explained, “We promoted the importance of the shots and encouraged employees to get vaccinated, and they really stepped up to the challenge. The pandemic has affected so many people, we welcomed the opportunity to help the MCF in their efforts to assist our neighbors and communities.”
