Expanded Pipette and Quality Management Seminar

New Training Module – How to Pipette Viscous Solutions

WESTBROOK, ME (April 26, 2019) Laboratory professionals want resources that help them expand their knowledge and expertise in the lab. Compliance requirements are constantly evolving and new internal processes to help ensure high levels of quality and productivity are being continually added. Ongoing training and certification is an effective way to improve operator skills and stay ahead of the curve.

Artel is offering a two-day seminar May 16-17, 2019 that is ideal for lab personnel who manage quality processes and who utilize single or multichannel pipettes – and who are responsible for regulatory compliance, improving workplace efficiency, and the data integrity of the lab’s test results.

“We are excited to be able to bring more value to our attendees this year,” says Candie Gilman, Artel training and support specialist. “We received multiple requests from prior attendees for more information regarding working with viscous solutions. We’re pleased to be able to answer those requests and have integrated a significant amount of new material into this year’s seminar to support laboratorians’ expanding requirements.”

Material that will be covered during the seminar includes laboratory best practices, ergonomics, regulatory compliance, repair and maintenance, equipment failure diagnostics, calibration technologies, and single and multichannel technique certification. Guidance and materials needed to set up a systemized internal quality assurance program are also provided. Pre- and post-training evaluations of attendees’ pipetting skills are conducted that give people immediate feedback on the improvement in their technique. Gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded that denote the level of accuracy and precision achieved.
