Choosing a Liquid Handler Made Easier

Webinar Helps Scientists Define Equipment Needs

WESTBROOK, ME (June 24, 2021) – Artel will be hosting a complimentary webinar with the Cambridge Healthtech Institute titled “How to Choose an Automated Liquid Handler: Tips and Tricks to Help You on Your Way.” The webinar will be held on July 13, 2021, from 11:00am to 12:00pm EDT. Registrants will have access to a recording of the webinar afterwards.

If your laboratory is planning on increasing testing throughput, you most likely will be bringing in new or additional automation. There are a lot of factors to consider when choosing an automated liquid handler (ALH) and it can be a daunting process, especially if you are new to automation. This webinar discusses the considerations that go into choosing an ALH to help you select the system that best serves your needs. The webinar also briefly discusses an easy methodology for verifying your ALH’s performance after it arrives, which takes into account assay volumes, reagents, and labware options.

Dr. Nathaniel Hentz, director of scientific market development, previously worked with the BTEC Analytical Lab at NC State University, teaching graduates topics that focused on biopharmaceutical assay development and validation.  Before his tenure at NC State, Dr. Hentz worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb supporting automation screening systems within the Lead Discovery group, and at the Eli Lilly RTP Laboratories developing screens.  Throughout his career his focus has been optimization of the design and execution of automated workflows and assay processes.
