Bay Area LRIG Event Examines Biomarkers

Liquid Handler Excellence Supports Big Data Analysis

WESTBROOK, Maine (May 26, 2022) – The Laboratory Research and Innovation Group (LRIG) is a special interest group focused on laboratory automation, having thousands of scientists and engineers in chapters all over the United States. The Bay Area chapter is hosting the event “Trends in Biomarkers for Disease” at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Foster City, CA on June 7, 2022 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm PDT.

Personalized medicine involves diagnosing diseases and developing individualized therapies to address them. Biomarkers used in these diagnoses are measurable biological substances that are indicative of a clinically relevant endpoint and that have good signal-to-noise ratios. Automated processes dependent on precise and accurate liquid handling detect these biomarkers and generate the huge datasets that drive big data analysis used in these diagnoses. The Artel MVS excels at ensuring that scientists and laboratorians receive the highest quality possible data from their processes, so that physicians have the information they need to make informed diagnoses and treatment decisions.

At our LRIG booth, Artel will have scientists and an applications team available to discuss the role of liquid handling in these critical applications, and to answer any questions you may have. Special thanks to our friends at Analytic Jena, who are providing a Felix automated liquid handler for demonstrations.
