Artel to Present Pipetting Workshops at Biomanufacturing Conference

Westbrook, Maine (July 14, 2014) – Artel, the leader in liquid handling quality assurance, will present a hands-on workshop – “Pipettes in the Laboratory and Pipette Repair and Maintenance” – at the 2014 Northeast Biomanufacturing Center and Collaborative (NBC2) BIOMAN Conference. The workshop will be offered twice – on Monday and Tuesday, July 14 and 15, from 10:25 a.m. to noon at Salt Lake Community College (Salt Lake City, Utah). Additionally, Artel will hold a series of coaching and improvement sessions for both single- and multi-channel pipetting technique, which will be held from 1:30 to 4:30 each day.

The Artel PCS® Pipette Calibration System will be used in the workshops. Based on ratiometric photometry, the system’s instant and objective feedback makes it an ideal tool for teaching and learning best practices in pipetting technique, in addition to its utilization for managing pipette calibration programs.

“Pipetting is a critical skill for many employees in the biomanufacturing industry,” commented Candie Gilson, Product Manager. “Our studies have shown that training helps pipette operators achieve the highest levels of pipetting accuracy and precision, therefore optimizing productivity and quality of test results in the laboratory.”
