Scientist to Scientist Karlton Moore, Artel, sat down with Rob Grbac from Clinical Reference Laboratory for a very informative discussion on how Artel systems can support molecular diagnostic labs. Rob explains how he was able to scale up his lab by going from a laborious gravimetry verification method, to a fast and easy process with the MVS®, staying proactive in the troubleshooting and fine tuning of his high throughput instruments, while satisfying all the regulatory requirements.
Rob Grbac is the Director of Technical Laboratory Services at Clinical Reference Laboratory, where he leads efforts to uphold data integrity and compliance in lab instrumentation and method development. He also serves as the liaison between the scientific, business and technology teams within the company. Leveraging his 16-year experience in in vitro pre-clinical drug testing, Rob has championed various automation and integration initiatives that have significantly impacted revenue generation, cost containment, and process improvements.
Prior to joining CRL, Rob served as Director of Technology and Services Development at Sekisui XenoTech, LLC. His work has produced posters and publications showcased at numerous technology conferences including SLAS and LRIG. Rob earned his MBA from Baker University and bachelor’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Physiology (minor in Chemistry) from Rockhurst University.
