Job Description

Artel is seeking a quality conscious person to be part of our Production Department. The successful candidate will work with Production team members in the production of all Artel products lines. Your responsibility will go beyond the making of products and will extend to being an active and positive contributor towards keeping the Artel team in its number one position worldwide in the production of liquid handling quality assurance products. Job Responsibilities

  • Work at our facilities in Westbrook, ME
  • Perform hands-on production processes and assembly functions in producing Artel instruments and consumables products, according to established schedules
  • Setup process equipment and assembly apparatus for the production of Artel consumables products
  • Follow established work instructions under the Artel Quality Management System (ISO 9001, GMP), to ensure 100% quality for all the Company’s manufactured products
  • Perform tasks within the Artel Enterprise Resource System such as opening and closing work orders, issuing and receiving parts and cycle counting of inventory
  • Assist in other production-related duties and responsibilities, to help the team meet its objectives

Qualifications

  • Work effectively within a team oriented environment
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing clean room environment
  • Exceptional hand eye coordination
  • Assume personal responsibility for product quality output by following the company’s Quality Management System
  • High degree of personal accountability and integrity
  • A strong work ethic, good time management skills, and the ability to adapt to changing working conditions
  • Ability to interact well in teams and with diverse individuals within the organization
  • Good written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of desktop computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to make effective decisions in an expedient manner while maintaining extremely high quality standards
  • Ability to learn and understand production processes, and to effectively recognize problems and recommend improvements
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g. ISO and GMP) is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. (production environment)
  • Authorization to work in the US without the need for employer sponsorship

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma with a good academic record
  • Previous experience in a production environment (3 plus years preferred)
